A "Princess" ... and not very warlike, not who you're thinking.

Before I start talking about our Power Girl of the month, it is necessary to contextualize the series where she appears, Once Upon a Time. And as this issue instead of a Bitch Power belongs to the same space as the Girl Power I will use a quote from another article, also written by me, about the main enemy of our GP June.
The premise of the series is to use the story of Snow White as a skeleton, and make it more varied connections with varied tales like Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians, Little Red Riding Hood, Aladdin, Cinderella, John and Maria among other minor references, with the differential of the story be told in two alternate realities: the world of magic and our real world today, where there is no magic and no one remembers who he is, ie boriiiing ... Or rather, almost no one, some characters such as Henry Mills truly believe that everyone living there under a terrible curse that needs to be broken, but obviously no one takes seriously the boy. (Check out "Who said that every witch is ugly and old? ")
Although at first the impression we have is that logically would be the protagonist of the story itself Snow White (this impression reinforced by the disclosure of material sweetheart The BC Studios), it is misleading to think that the story will focus on the dwarves poisoned apples. They even are present, but who takes the commission ahead of this story full of magic, mystery and curses is Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), a lonely 28 year old female, who works as a sort of collection agent sureties in Boston.
Emma has her life turned upside down when the day of his twenty-eighth birthday, knocks on your door one 10 year old boy, named Henry, claiming to be the child she gave up for adoption 10 years ago. In possession of a book of fairy tales, Emma Henry has all the characters of the book are now inhabitants of the town of Storybrook, Maine, trapped on Earth by a Dark Doom, created by none other than ... the Evil Queen, Henry's adoptive mother, who made everyone forget who they are, and their chronological time stay paralyzed (except for himself, who was born on Earth).
Henry tries to convince - without success - Emma that she is the key to breaking the curse, being the daughter of Snow White, the World Without Magic sent through a magical wardrobe (hi, Narnia). Course Emma does not believe, scared all events decides to take Henry back to Storybrook ASAP and get rid of the "problem". Henry to deliver his adoptive mother, Emma has a small discussion and after a little accident while trying to leave Storybrook to return to Boston, he decides to stay in town for a few days, to ensure that Henry is being treated well.
What were "few days" ends up turning into more permanent plans, as the bond between Henry and Emma deepens and she becomes friends with Mary Margaret, the primary teacher of Henry, which is none other than the White Snow, in this parallel world.

From there, Emma starts to engage in various events in the city, which are counted in series in parallel with the history of the characters in the Wizarding World, making it even unknowingly be responsible in solving many problems of these characters magic no memory of who they are, even more after becoming sheriff, very reluctantly to the Mayor Wicked.
But the truth is that the ability to more prominence this blonde dressed in red leather and full of attitude, have been facing, counter and create epic feuds with Regina / Evil Queen, being the only city to have the courage (after all, how Henry says she is the key to breaking the curse).

Moreover, attitude is not lacking ... was up the time in which the function of the princesses of fairy tales was put on a dress and pose showing its beauty and delicacy. Of course, in classic stories daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming was supposed to be an example of finesse and sweetness, but in all this kingdom Storybrook classic is reversed, and here we have a "princess" that invades the orchard the Mayor with a chainsaw threatening to put your pet down apple, enters a catfight with the route, with the right to pull punches because hair and give pat thing is defenseless little girls and does not have a vocabulary ... very refined, so to speak ( and we know well xenites another "princess" with that kind of attitude, is not it?)

And to make things more interesting for some, say the watchful eyes the subtext that all tantrums between Emma and Regina are pure fruit of sexual tension, thereby forming shippers SwanQueen, which for some makes sense, for others not both, but you can not deny that our motherfucking princess has a pinch of butchness in his personality.

I can not believe I'm saying these words, but I think very clueless beholder subtext SwanQueen ...
Ah, the scene of the chainsaw! Made me laugh with delight. # TeamEmma
Well, Chris, I do not think there is no notion who subtext in SwanQueen. The subtext're there, u need to see it to believe. But some do not want them ... Problem is! Shippar here and there is the newest way of living inside a sitcom does well. And I believe that this lack throbbing shipper was born of a couple who awaken the public enthusiasm. Yes, we have Snow and Charming, but, alas, no one deserves that Prince Charming cowardly and full of doubts about his soulmate. Out that Emma has a whole gist Badass, which makes her a great candidate for sapa series. lol
Oh Mary, your article made me dying to rush out and beating the directors to tucking into the second season on the air soon.
MAGIC IS COMING!
I'm with Andrew on the viewpoint. I can not see any subtext between the two. I think it's cliché, any two characters with strong rivalry be automatically transformed into a ship, for some it works and for how to sustain with canon things (ex: Faith and Buffy, Xena and Callisto, Rachel and Quinn, the latter influenced by the fandom , had scenes that hinted something), since between Regina and Emma, can not see any hint of emotional attachment / attraction distorted by anger. Emma, despite the way butch, appears to be fairly straight to the point her and Regina get into a catfight (or shall we say jaguar-fight) because of Graham.
Anyway, there are ships that are born by the will of fans, and I understand these (so born Faberry, Confersith and many others), but it does not mean they have something canon. Are likely to become, the fanbase of them is strong enough to influence production (as happened with Glee Brittana and Faberry with mild innuendo that we know not to give anything, but IS included), but at the moment, I in sincerity, I wish someone would show me some concrete evidence SwanQueen showing a good reason to SwanQueen become canon.
I mean ... Andrew ***
Confuse me.
like so clueless? sapatice the rolls loose there!
The HAUAHAUAHAUAHAUAH SAPATICE ROLLS LOOSE ALI, INDEED! HAUAHAUAHA
Ai, bro. It would be a great idea the two together. This series is not as underground as Buffy or alternative XWP. So it would be a fairytale ending GOOD ALTERNATIVE to an audience that is expecting every time a relationship between gay characters. Because I think that's what happened with XWP (Glee too). People imagined so far as to influence the show's creators. Do not tell me that there was subtext from the first season of Xena pelamordi ... that little chat about sleeping on top of rocks being subtext is far-fetched. So ... MY POINT IS: who identifies himself creates the subtext you want.
Anyways, SwanQueen would be a way of Snow White to pay his debt to the Queen. Moreover, it has Henry. Where it is apparent that the queen cares for him. Staying with Emma, she would not have to move away from the boy. (THEY ALREADY HAVE A SON TOGETHER, PEOPLE!). It would not be the end of the type queen dies, Henry is with Emma and Snow White lives happily ever after with her Prince IDIOT. I prefer to believe in redemption through the Queen's true love. Sue me.
PS: EMMA BUTCH. prontofalay
